Stop Talking. Start Doing.
12 Cities | 12 Conversations were unique gatherings that convened pastors, church leaders, and believers across the United States to discuss issues that were facing the global church. Through thoughtful dialogue, prayer, and collaboration, thousands of people gathered together in cities all across America to dream about what the future of the church could look like and what would be required of leaders moving forward.
These conversations united believers across denominational and racial boundaries and set the stage for the even larger global conversation that took place at the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelism in Cape Town, South Africa. Over 4,000 leaders representing the global church united as one to celebrate, learn, and mobilize the church to respond to the issues in our world and do the work of advancing the Gospel to reach the next generation.
The conversation has ended but the work is just beginning.
Now that we’ve shared, learned, and collaborated, we now have the incredible opportunity to serve Christ and the Kingdom by doing the work of the Gospel in our cities and nations. We have a tremendous responsibility to live out the Great Commission of making disciples and sharing the never-changing message of the Gospel in a world that is changing every day. We can take our light into the darkness and bring the hope we’ve found to a world that is in need.
There is much work to be done and now that we’ve talked about it we face the challenge of living it out and to start doing something.
How has God worked in your life? What has God placed in your hand or in your heart? Where does your heart beat with compassion? When will you start doing something about it?
The challenge is great but our God is greater, and all you need to do is take one step forward in faith and just watch what God will do.
